The Rehab Step is used to replicate a step for walking rehabilitation.
It is made from a lightweight strong material. We use a strong plastic material to ensure it is stable and will not be damaged by a walking frame. Inside the block is a lightweight polystyrene block to give good support.
The Rehab Step weighs only 9.6kg / 21lbs. This is much lighter than wooden steps, therefore reducing the manual handling risk.
It comes with a strong carrying strap that helps when carrying it from one room to another. The Strap goes all the way around the internal polystyrene block, to help prevent excess stress on the plastic.
It is 85cm x 85cm x 18cm (33.5″ x 33.5″ x 7.1″). This gives enough room for someone to step up and then turn around, or step down on the other side. People using a walking frame and turning around may require a larger size. Special sizes can be made to order.
- Because this is a rehabilitation item, we recommend a Therapist is with the patient at all times when using this item to ensure the patient does not fall.
- We do not recommend high heel shoes, particularly stiletto heels.
- Do not drag along a floor. Use the Carry Strap to move the Rehab Step.
- There is a small gap where the webbing straps come out from the plastic. This area is not 100% sealed.
