WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?

The Leg Lifter for Two Feet is a self-help aid designed to assist a person in lifting their legs onto or off a bed. It may also be used as a manual handling aid to help raise a patient’s thighs when fitting the leg sections of a hoist sling.

Main features of this product include:

  • Constructed from strong vinyl with internal plastic reinforcement to maintain shape, allowing the open loop to be easily positioned over the feet

BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

While seated on the edge of the bed, place the open foot loops over both feet. Lean forward and hold the lowest comfortable hand loop.

Keeping the arm straight, lean back gently so body weight assists in lifting the feet from the floor. If required, the wrist or forearm may be used instead of fingers for grip. Instructions may be adjusted according to individual ability.
