This product is an accessory to the Chair Pad Sling (sold separately), and can also be used with some other Slings.
The Chair Pad Sling will hold the Patient in a comfortable safe position, and it is highly unlikely a Patient will ever slide out or fall from the Sling. However, the optional Chair Pad Sling Safety Belt can be attached for nervous Patients who may feel more secure knowing the Belt is holding them in.
There are various ways the Safety Belt can be used, including to restrain the Patient’s arms if necessary. Only use a Safety Belt as a restraint if all other alternatives have been tried. Ensure a Restraint Authorisation has been obtained.
To Use
Simply pass the Belt webbing through the handles on the back of the Chair Pad Sling, then do up the buckle in front of the Patient. Adjust to the correct fit by sliding the webbing through the buckle, keeping in mind that the Belt should not need to be done up very tightly.
