The Bed Side Helper is not a Restraint. It is an aid to daily living, designed not to entrap Patients.

The Bed Side Helper is used to help people getting in and out of bed. It reminds the Patient where the edge of the mattress is and prevents them from rolling out of bed. It can be used on almost any size of bed that has a separate mattress and base section. Make the bed as normal, leaving the Helper in place, or remove it during the day. This product may help people suffering a proprioceptive condition.

The Bed Side Helper’s frame is made from a strong poly-carbonate plastic that is easy to wipe clean. There are two Cover options:

Standard Cover  A removable washable foam padded velour cover which has a pocket on the outside for storing small items like a Touch Alarm Box, Bed Remote, Mobile Phone, TV Controller, etc.

Thick Padded Cover  This special thick Cover helps protect people who may have an epileptic seizure or have some other uncontrollable forceful movements. It consists of thick convoluted foam with a soft velour outer cover that has a pocket on the outside for storing small items. For safety, the Helper’s hand slot is covered to prevent a hand or wrist getting caught.

The Bed Side Helper is quick to place securely under a mattress, and has two height settings. A Health Care Professional can help determine the most suitable position and height. They may place the Helper near the shoulder, elbow, or leg. More than one Bed Side Helper can be used, for instance one near the shoulders and another near the legs, with a gap in the middle for getting in and out of bed.

NOTE: This product comes flat-packed and requires assembly. View the Assembly Guide here.
