The Stand Up Helper enables a Carer to assist a Patient to stand up from a chair, wheelchair, car, bed, or from the floor. Made from durable webbing that is comfortable to hold, and folds flat for easy storage and transport.
An advantage of using this product is the Carer is not pulling directly on the Patient’s arms, which could cause bruising or even dislocation. The Stand Up Helper will not make the Carer any stronger, but they can use their body weight to help the Patient to stand up.
Note: Before using the Stand Up Helper, always assess if the Patient is able to stand independently when they are on their feet. If they normally use a walking frame or walking stick, these must be within easy reach once they are standing.
