Description
WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?
A comfortable, well-padded, high-back Stand-Up sling with a strong, wide padded safety belt.
We have designed this sling to reduce riding up under the arms. The pressure under the arms can be very painful with some brands of hoists, especially for people who have arm or shoulder problems.
If the person does have an arm or shoulder problem, an alternative way of using this sling is to keep their arms inside the sling with the outer lifting band wrapped around the outside of their body. Using the sling in this way depends greatly on the person’s ability to cooperate and weight-bear.

WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR?
This sling is suitable for someone who can be safely transferred using a Stand-Up hoist.
BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
When positioning the hoist, try to get the knee pad as close to the person’s knees as possible. This may involve removing the footplates from wheelchairs. If the knees are firmly against the knee pad, the person will not be forced to slide
forward on the chair until their knees touch the pad before standing up.
Likewise, when lowering the person back into a chair, they may not return to a good sitting position if the hoist cannot get close enough to the chair. When lifting or lowering, keep the brakes applied on both the lifter and the chair. It may be difficult to position shorter individuals with their bottoms at the back of the chair or onto a bed. We recommend using a Stand-Up Block.
