WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?
The Speculum Examination Wedge is a 100% heat-sealed positioning aid designed to elevate the pelvis to assist in gynaecological examinations, including cervical screening procedures.
The wedge incorporates air reservoir channels on both sides that allow controlled air displacement when weight is applied. This helps maintain structural integrity and reduces stress on heat-sealed seams. These features are subject to a Pelican patent application.
WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR?
Suitable for use in clinical settings for patients undergoing pelvic examination procedures such as cervical screening (Pap smear).
BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Place the wedge on an examination bed or table prior to use. The wipeable medical-grade surface should be cleaned between each patient in accordance with infection control protocols.
