WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?

The Soft Transfer Belt is a standing and walking belt with an adjustable webbing strap. It is padded and the soft Velour material is comfortable for the person wearing it, and the handles are comfortable and easy to grip for the Carer/s. It comes in either a blue or black color option. This small size is specifically designed for smaller people.

WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR?

This product is used to help frail people stand and walk. Depending on the person, one or two Carers can support the person while standing and walking by holding onto the handles. The people using this belt may be being Carer for at home, or in assisted living, aged care nursing home, skilled nursing facility, or hospital.

BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Place the belt around the person and attached the buckle. Tighten the buckle, so that it is comfortable, either around the waist or under the arms. With correct training, the Carers can then use the belt to help someone stand up and walk.

Cleaning

CLEANING METHOD

Machine or hand wash.

Air dry in the shade. Alternatively, tumble dry on a cool temperature and make sure the drum is cool.

What is the difference between the Handi Lift Walk Belt, the Soft Transfer Belt and the Gait Belt?

The Gait Belt was the first walking & transferring belt we made many years ago. It has more or less been superseded by both the Handi Lift Walk Belt and the Soft Transfer Belt, which are much wider and more comfortable than the Gait Belt. The Soft Transfer Belt is entirely padded, whereas the other two are not (only the handles of the Handi Lift Walk Belt are padded). The Soft Transfer Belt also uses an adjustable buckle at the front (so it can be used for a variety of sizes of people), while the Handi Lift Walk Belt comes in different sizes.
