WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?

The Soft Knee Separator is designed to provide a comfortable cushion placed between the thighs, just above the knees, so when the patient is sleeping, their knees will not touch.

A soft, elasticated Velcro® strap with hook tape fastening is attached to the Separator to help keep it in position during the night. The Separator may also be used on contracted legs or arms – consult your therapist.

It is possible to remove or add some of the Soft Hollow-Core Polyester Fiber filling for particular pressure care. This filling is cool and soft next to the body, and may help patients stay thermoneutral.

	Complete Product (White Cover with Filling)	Consisting of a White Cover with a zip and a strap to wrap around the leg, filled with Soft Hollow-Core Polyester Fibre.
	Cover Only – Black	To go on the outside of the Complete Product like a pillow case. Soft, four-way stretch material that wicks perspiration away from the body.
	Cover Only – Blue Waterproof	A waterproof, wipeable four-way stretch cover to go on the outside of the Complete Product like a pillow case. Heat Sealed, with zipper.
	Cover Only – White	The same material as on the Complete Product. To go on the outside of the Complete Product like a pillow case.

Suitable for a variety of bed positioning and pressure care applications.

BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Depending on the patient’s ability, the patient, a therapist or carer may position the Soft Knee Separator. More fibre is provided than may be needed. If necessary, remove some of the fibre from around the middle of the Separator to be comfortable for the patient, particularly for arm or leg contractions.

CLEANING METHOD

Machine or hand wash. The entire Cushion with the filling inside can be washed. Blue Waterproof Covers can also be wiped clean with a hospital grade disinfectant.
