WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?

The Shinpads are made from a soft material to help give protection to the shins.

They are particularly helpful for diabetic patients who may walk into chairs, beds, etc., causing ulcers that could take a very long time to heal.

They are made from foam with two layers over the shin bone so there is good protection. There are two soft elastic hook & loop tape straps it keep it in place.

As well as protecting the shins, this product can also be used to protect arms.

WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR?

The Shinpads are suitable for elderly people at risk of hitting or bruising the shin or legs if they walk into furniture.

BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Place the Shinpads around the lower legs. Attach with the hook & loop tape around the back of the leg. Cut the hook & loop tape to size if it is too long.

Cleaning

CLEANING METHOD

Machine or hand wash.

MAXIMUM WASHING TEMPERATURE

80°C / 176°F.

DETERGENT

Use a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener.

DRYING METHOD

Air dry in the shade. Alternatively, tumble dry on a cool temperature and make sure the drum is cool.

CLEANING WARNING

Only use and store the product when it is dry.

What material are they made of?

They are made from a soft thick foam, with two layers covering the shin bone.

Are they available in wool?

We do not have enough demand to keep stock of special wool Shinpads. If you would prefer wool, let us know and we can make them as a special item.

Can they be used on the arms?

Yes – they can be used on the arms but they may seem slightly bulky. You may want to have a look at the Arm Shearing Sleeve as an alternative.
