Remove both buckles from the belt, then remove all webbing from the plastic by pulling it through the slots. The webbing may be wiped clean with disinfectant or hand or machine washed up to 80°C (176°F), and cool tumble dried.

The plastic can be wiped clean with disinfectant and then wiped dry. When refitting the buckles, make sure they are threaded as illustrated above so that the webbing will not slip once they are done up. Ensure the product is dry before reassembling, using, or storing.

WARNING: Always inspect buckles before use. They are made from strong Delrin® material but may break if mistreated. If any part of a buckle is damaged and needs replacing, it should be replaced with a genuine GMP or Fastex buckle obtained from Pelican Manufacturing.

As different factories all over the world produce slightly different buckle designs, a similar looking buckle of the same size may not be compatible. Note: Pelican products fitted with Fastex buckles are compatible with our GMP buckles, as they were produced from the same moulds.
