The Vented Overlay Pad is a breathable, washable foam overlay pad used on a bed. Inside the Pad is a special foam sheet that has ventilation holes to allow air to flow through. This helps regulate body temperature – some people call this ‘Thermoneutral’. The fabric cover is designed to wick moisture away from the body. This type of material is sometimes used in sportswear.
As part of the Pelican Sleep System, the Vented Overlay Pad is compatible with positioning items such as the Sleep System Positioning Sheet, Body Brackets or Wedges (all sold separately). The size is big enough to allow the hip and shoulders to be on the Pad, and to reach across the bed to allow Wedges or Body Brackets to be placed under it. Always consult your Therapist before using.
