The Dex Single Patient Use Sling is a full body patient sling with soft padded split legs. It is designed as a ‘Single Patient Use’ or ‘disposable’ Sling.

The material used has been machine washed 10 times to comply with the International Standard SO 10535:2011, before weight testing to 457kg / 1007lbs to give a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 300kg / 660lbs.

The physical size of the sling is more suited for a normal proportioned adult. If it is needed for a bariatric patient who may weigh about 100kg / 220lbs please contact Pelican to make a special size sling.

Note: The head section is designed to hold the head when in the reclined position. If lifting in the sitting upright mode, it is possible to place a pillow behind the patient’s head. This will give extra support.

Note: Pack of 10 Slings are available at a discounted price.

Item # 576SPU - Single Sling
Item # 576SPU-10 - Pack of 10 Slings

Material: Ultrabond

Wash up to 80°C (176°F). Air dry in the shade, or tumble dry on a cool setting, ensuring the drum is cool. Ensure the product is dry before using or storing. We recommend using a Pelican Washing Bag to help contain the product.

Although we supply this product as a Single Patient Use or disposable product, we do recommend using a standard, fully washable sling which is made from a more durable material.

Warning: Inspect slings before every use. If any damage is found the Sling must be withdrawn from service and repaired, if possible.

Disposal: When the Sling is ready for disposal, we suggest the Lifting Straps are cut off, so it cannot be used with another patient.
