Item Name Change – ResQmat In a recent edition of the Pelican Post we informed you of the new EvacMat evacuation mat. We have had to change the name due to a company in England having the name EvacChair. Due to the similarities in names, we have renamed our product the ResQmat and applied for a Trade Mark for this name. The ResQmat is a padded evacuation sheet that can be taken to a patient during the day time if they are in a chair when a fire breaks out or other emergency – it is not stored in position on the bed under the mattress. For more information and a great demonstration video click here. Heat Sealed Items for better Infection Control We are currently developing some of or products to have heat sealed covers. This will allow for better infection control because they can be wiped clean. We will be advertising the new items as they become available. At the moment we only have a few heat sealed items such as the Bed Fall Mat (Heat Sealed), Child’s Commode and Back Cushion and Head Rings. (Click on the underlined names to link to the items on our website. The first of the new items to be Heat Sealed are the Sand Bags – Heat Sealed.
