Click here for Information and Warning about Bed Rails Item # 214T Turning Rails, sometimes called a Half Rail, are used for patients who benefit by holding onto the Turning Rail when they turn over or get out of bed.The Protector is easy to see through. It is easy to wipe clean and remove when not needed. Some patients may roll and slip through the Turning Rail, so this protector will help to stop the patient from going through the Turning Rail.To Fit: Position the Protector with the smooth side inside the rail. Allow room on both sides for the patient’s hands. Adjust the height so they can hold the top rail. Secure the Velcro over the top rail and cut to size if necessary. When fitting, pull the webbing firmly through the small black plastic loop to make a tight fit.Cleaning: Simply spray and wipe dry with popular brands of disinfectants. If you have any doubts on cleaning do a sample test on a lower corner of the protector. Warning: When Bed Rails are used, it is possible for people to be entrapped between the edge of the mattress and the Bed Rail. This may also happen if a Bed Rail Protector is being used. Entrapment can lead to death, so it is very important to do a risk assessment for the patient and regularly check that they do not manoeuvre themselves into a dangerous position.
