Item # 564Sometimes, when starting to lift patients, where the sling is under their thighs, the material adjusts itself as the webbing is being pulled up by the hoist. The material may shear against fragile skin and cause a wound if it is directly in contact with the patient’s skin.This Velour Foam Padded sleeve will help prevent shearing under the patient’s thighs, as the sling can move inside the sleeve without disturbing the patient’s tender skin.To Use: Slide the two Shearing Sleeves over the two leg sections of the sling before putting the sling under the patient. Ensure that the material join and product label are on the underside, so the flat part of the sleeve goes next to the patient’s leg so that the leg is not resting on the seam.Washing: Hand or machine wash, up to 80°C. Air dry or cool tumble dry and never place in a hot drum.Inspect frequently for signs of wear. Withdraw from use if any faults found and contact Pelican Manufacturing.
