Stocking Slider - Open End

This product is used to help the patient put on tight fitting open-toe compression stockings, such as TED Stockings, on legs or arms. The Stocking Slider is made from a very strong and slippery material.

To Fit:

1) Put the Stocking Slider over the foot, ankle and shin (or arm).

2) Put the Compression Stocking over the Stocking Slider.

3) After the stocking is fully on the foot and leg (or arm), pull the Stocking Slider end loop away from the foot.

4) Keep pulling the Stocking Slider until it is completely free. Tuck the Stocking Slider back inside itself ready to use again.

5) Removing from Arm, either pull end loop or put loop over a door handle.

This product is to help with the prevention of pressure sores. Sometimes, due to the patient deteriorating, the product may become unsuitable. Continuous monitoring is necessary and alternative products may be recommended.

Washing: Hand or machine wash only, up to 80°C. Do not tumble dry or wring - air dry only.

This product may help people who cannot bend and need to wear very strong elasticated stockings, such as TED Stockings, to help with their lymphoedema.

Stocking Slider - Wrap Around Item # 153W
The advantage of this item over our standard Item # 153 (Stocking Slider - Enclosed Toe) is that it is long enough to cover the knee if getting stockings over the knee is a problem.

'Non- Slip' Bed Slippers Item # 153NS
When some people get out of bed, if they are wearing compression stockings, they may be in danger of slipping. The ‘Non- Slip’ Bed Slippers can be worn in bed over the compression stockings so are less likely to slip if they are walking on wood, vinyl or tiles or even if they are trying to find their normal slippers. The Non- Slip Bed Slippers are made from a very strong, but fine breathable material. The heel section does not have any seams or stitching, to help protect the patient from bed sores. Depending on the design of the patient’s normal slippers they may be able to put their slippers on over the Pelican Non-Slip Bed Slipper.
