Item 464 The E.R.C.P. wedge and straps are designed to help position patients in the prone position with one side of their body raised slightly. The wedge has two long straps that should be wrapped across the patient’s back, around and under the table and then secured in the lever buckles which will hold the wedge in position. The firm wedge has a heat sealed Vinyl cover to help with preventing cross infection. The lever lock buckles are attached with loops that are big enough to put a cloth inside to clean around the buckles. The Vinyl material is made up of a fine mesh covered in a plastic. This mesh will stop the material stretching but the material will not fray so it can be left in place. CLEANING: Wipe clean with disinfectant and wipe dry after cleaning. Have guidance from your facility’s Infection Control department as they may over-ride our recommendations.
